To add to the confusion, Vanguard's codenames do not follow the modern phonetic alphabet like modern Cold War warfare and weapons. Vanguard instead uses a version of the phonetic alphabet used during World War II to preserve some historical accuracy. Instead of Alpha you have Geta; Instead of Bravo, you have Baker; and so on.

The WWII name found is its first name in the Vanguard menus, while its modern Warzone name is in parentheses. Also note that the codenames for melee weapons are a bit confused in each game.
